The Phoenix Art Space ‘Youth Takeover’ theme is Your Space to Make as we will transform our Main Gallery into an environment specifically designed for young people to enjoy. The Youth Takeover will be a chance for usto find out what you need and want from an arts organisation like ours.
In this workshop with Sinna One you can work on some artwork that reflects ‘What is important to you?’. This might be an issue, an idea, a person, thing or place. Your artwork needs to express this in some way. It can be abstract or representational and you can use drawing, painting, collage, photography or other 2D media.

Installing a large, basic, model film set, you are invited to make a character, costume, scenery, props, speech bubbles, music and lighting to bring the set to life. A light touch exploration of the various roles in theatre, film and TV production – script, direction, set design, costume, make-up, lighting sound, VFX etc. but all on a small scale with simple materials. The collective display will have light projection and additions/sequences can be filmed and viewed in real time on iPad.
