Young people in Brighton deserve safe and welcoming environments where they can access regular, free support when they need it. They need spaces that are theirs, where they can connect with other young people and youth workers to improve their wellbeing, develop interpersonal skills and gain confidence.
BYC is a central hub for youth work in the city. We’re really proud of the young people we work with, and we’re continually impressed by the contributions they make to their local community through the activities that take place at BYC every day. We have been awarded vital funds from Youth Investment Fund and Brighton & Hove City Council to rebuild our centre, and the work is due to be completed in late August 2025. Throughout this period we are operating from a temporary location in the centre of Brighton.
As we lead up to the reopening of our centre on Edward Street, we need your help to ensure we can kit-out the new building with the best facilities for the young people we work with, and increase our services so that we can deliver youth work 7 days a week from our new building.
If you have the means to support us with a one-off or recurring donation you can do so by card, through Paypal, or with a regular Direct Debit. If you’d like to get more involved in supporting BYC as either an individual or a company, we’d love to hear from you. Please get in touch with Victoria at fundraising@brightonyouthcentre.org.uk to discuss.
If you’d like to receive updates on the project and on BYC activities, you can sign up for our newsletter to get monthly updates.
